We have spent the past year re-evaluating our living style to become more waste free, developing new products, taking on diy projects, expanding our organic gardens, and eliminating plastic from every day living. During this process, we discovered how difficult it can be to find plastic free items so we've made the bold decision to open a PLASTIC FREE GIFT SHOP at our hobby farm in Oro-Medonte, ON!
We're very excited to announce that our shop will be opening on Thanksgiving weekend during the Studio Images Tour taking place throughout Oro-Medonte. Join us for a visit, some fresh apple cider and snacks, and check out our new products. We would love the feedback and to see as many smiling faces as we can! Thank you so much for your continued support and for your fight for a cleaner environment during our climate crisis. Let's #gogreen together!

It's a new year and with every new year come the dreaded New Year Resolutions! We began our resolutions back in the fall of 2018 and are happy to say that we've managed to hang on to them into 2019. That said, the one that didn't make the list was blogging.
I am not one to sit at my computer for hours as I'd rather be outside on the ski hill or playing the piano and singing, however a friend of mine has strongly encouraged me to begin documenting the exciting changes in this new business. So here I am! Sitting with a tea, the sun starting to poke through the grey sky, and my computer all fired up and ready to go! I think my first chat will be about the overwhelming, positive response and people I've met along the way over this past year. This little journey began as a way to help out a friend at a craft fair, has turned into a passion for my entire family, and introduced us to some amazing people. One of the highlights was connecting to 3x olympic skier and 2012 World Cup champion, Erin Mielzynski. Erin's family lives in the Collingwood, Ontario area and purchased some of our products at the Georgian Artisan Shop in Thornbury, ON. Erin is a staunch believer in all things eco and fell in love with the products, so much so that she reached out to us and has offered to be our brand ambassador! Erin is a fellow nature lover, adventure seeker, book reader, and is very passionate about the environment. She travels the world, training, racing, and wants to start using her travels to bring awareness to the plastic crisis. We are extremely excited to partner up with Erin and watch as our little beeswax food wraps travel the world! Stay tuned for pics (and maybe some wrap passport stamps) and in the meantime, you can follow Erin's adventures on instagram @erinmielzynski or learn more about her impressive career at olympic.ca/team-canada/erin-mielzynski/. That's all for now! The family is up and I promised to whip up some GF, sugar free, vegan waffles for breakfast. Did I mention I love to cook? We'll leave that for another day. :) |
